HOSA (Medical Careers Club)
-
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), is an international student organization focused on promoting health care career opportunities, while fostering leadership, motivation and collaboration for students interested in pursuing health science or biomedical careers. Members of HOSA compete in the Illinois HOSA preliminary competition in December to earn the opportunity to attend and compete in the Illinois HOSA State Conference and competition in Springfield, IL, scheduled for late February. Students who place in the top 3 for their event are invited to attend and compete in the International HOSA Conference and competion in Dallas, TX, or Orlando, FL, scheduled for late June. Students can choose from a variety of individual and/or team health care related events. Meetings begin in August, and will occur twice a month as students prepare for the competition.
