When can new Fremd students pick up their school-issued iPad?

When a student enrolls at Fremd 5X社区, they are issued an iPad and all of the digital accounts needed for their classes including email, Microsoft Office 365, Google Docs, Schoology, and Infinite Campus. Students will receive an iPad with those apps already signed in, and they will have an email waiting for them in Outlook with their passwords. 

During the summer, iPad pick up dates are as follows:

• Monday, June 3: Summer school students will receive their iPads from their teachers during class on the first day of school. This is only for students who are attending the first semester summer school session. 
• Friday, June 7: All students who sign up via our EventBrite page () can pick up their iPads in the school library. 
• Wednesday, June 12: All students who sign up via our EventBrite page () can pick up their iPads in the school library. 
• Between June 17 and July 31: All students can walk in (no sign up needed) on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 8am and 2pm (except June 19 and July 4 when the building is closed for federal holidays).
• August 1 - August 11: no pick-ups will be allowed while we prepare for the return of our teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff. 
• August 6: Freshmen Kick Off Event - Students can pick up their iPads at the conclusion of this event.
• August 12: Students can pick up their iPads starting at 7am on the first day of school.

Incoming Student Orientation sessions are held throughout the summer. This is a great time to pick up your child’s iPad while you are already in the building.

One or two evening time slots will be added in the near future in conjunction with the Student Services Department. 

Only a student or their parent or guardian can pick up an iPad. Siblings, neighbors, friends, or others cannot pick up an iPad on a student's behalf.

The iPad Protection Plan is $25 per school year and it is effective the day you purchase it. You can pay for this optional protection plan online through MySchoolBucks before you arrive to pick up your iPad. You are not permitted to purchase the protection plan after your iPad has been damaged. Follow this link for the details about the optional Protection Plan.

When can incoming 8th grade math students pick up their school-issued iPad? 

July 22 - 26, 2024. 

Students picking up an iPad to participate in 8th grade math courses will pick their iPad up from Student Services. Student Services is open 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday – Thursday during the summer. To contact Student Services, please call (847) 755-2630.
