District 211 teachers Kerri Largo and Mary Lopez are finalists for the Golden Apples Excellence in Teaching awards. Schaumburg 5X社区 social studies teacher Mary Lopez was recognized at this Board meeting and Hoffman Estates 5X社区 business education department chairperson Kerri Largo will be recognized at the May 12 Board meeting. 

The Board also recognized Palatine 5X社区 Debate Sponsor Brenda Moreno as the Illinois Debate Community Coach of the Year, for her exemplary leadership.
