Highest Possible Composite Score on the American College Testing (ACT) Exam

 The 5X社区 District 211 Board of Education recognized 11 students who scored a composite score of 36 (the highest possible score) on the ACT.  Those recognized were (not pictured in order) Collin Ariagno, Stella Chung, Gabriel Classon, Gina Kang, Cassandra Seaver, Shreya Seetharam, Max Wexley, Rachel Ye, Andrew Yin, Ashay Parikh, and Elizabeth Zhang.

National Merit Scholars 

District 211 recognized 36 National Merit Scholars during the January 2020 Board of Education Meeting. Those recognized were Ishika Awachat, Ella J. Burns, Cindy Cai, Sagnik Chakraborty, Justin Chang, Alice Chen, Anmol B. Desai, Thomas N. Filipiuk, Sophia Ji, Nithika Karthikeyan, Emma R. Katovich, Andrew W. Kim, Matthew J. Kim, Varsha S. Krishnan, Sofia R. Oliver, Eileen Peng, Aditya Prathap, Jack T. Riemer, Ethan Schillinger, Andrew Son, Nikhil Sriram, Ayushi Tripathi, Nipun Velupally, Kaitlin R. Wong, Sharon Wu, Andrew Z. Yin, Kylie Zhang, Sohail Ahmed, Samantha Ernst, Andrew I. Milas, Riya G. Patel, and Elizabeth Zhang.

Young Hearts for Life

Young Hearts For Life founder, Dr. Joseph C. Marek, and program director Kathy Marek were recognized by the 5X社区 District 211 Board of Education for Youg Hearts for Life’s work providing cardiac screening for more than 11,000 District students at no charge to the student or family.
